We Speak STEAK!
Please don't expect to see much of chicken dogs and 22% fat-by-volume hamburgers on the grill. These are "Top Notch" Americans and we feed them that way!

Generous Recognition
Home Depot's Perris (CA) store got the ball rolling on "cooker acquisitions." Dawgs Co-Founder Ron Carlton "arranged" the first donation of a class act "cooker" for Active Duty MWD kennels ~ the one pictured below with some very proud Home Depot hands went to 29 Palms PM/3rd MEF Marine Dawgs in 2009.
Over 450 Served!
With the Mission Accomplished at MCAS Miramar on 14 November 2009, Feed the Dawgs reached over four hundred and fifty active military working dog handlers and family members between April and November 2009. This is an incredible testament to the patriotism and generosity of those whom have made contributions to this project. To our sponsors and volunteers, we say
Hooooooaaaaah!
In 2009 we have also experienced the loss of another
brother handler and the loss of two four-footed comrades.

Spc. Brandon K. Steffey
KIA 25 October 2009
Spc. Steffey, 23, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, died 25 October 2009 in Laghman Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED). Steffey's Military Working Dog, Macy, was also killed in the attack. The team was assigned to the 178th Military Police Detachment, 89th Military Police Brigade, III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas.
It is with deep regret that we announce the loss of MWD Ffella, November, 2009.
Those familiar with the DAWGS "Sand Box" display at the Military K9 Heritage Exhibit at March Field Air Museum, will clearly recall the image of Air Force SSgt. Jeff Mastin and his MWD Ffella. Some time after returning from Iraq in November, Ffella was found deceased in his kennel. Our sincerest condolences to Jeff Mastin and the Beale Air Force Base MWD Section.

Please review our "Sponsors" page. Patronize our "Business Sponsors" and support our "Organization Sponsors." These people along with the growing number of fine, outstanding AMERICANS whom have made individual contributions for the first-year efforts of Feed the Dawgs are a very large part of the success of this project.
No less important, please check out our Kennel Crew ~ the volunteers who tirelessly showed up for Feed the Dawgs events all over the southwest, and those who made the Feed the Dawgs Military K9 Heritage Exhibit among the hallmarks of Military Working Dog Team displays anywhere.

Special thanks to Darryl Worley: not only a tireless supporter of all branches of the United States Active Duty Military and veterans everywhere, but a true blue AMERICAN, generous and caring to a fault. Very early on when we had little to show and only an idea to share, Darryl "gifted" the Feed the Dawgs Project our theme song, heard on the opening page of this web site, "Just Got Back From a War."

We are also indebted to Air Force Major General Mary Kay Hertog, Commander, Second Air Force. Although our passion for supporting K9 Handlers and their Dogs is not lost with her, she has graciously shared in our honor and recognition of the Military Working Dog Program across the globe. She has further honored us by entrusting us with the safe keeping of a Flag of the United States of America, flown in Iraq in recognition of the presence of the Active Duty Dog Handlers and their Dogs. General Hertog has unquestionably earned her recognition as the "Top Lady Dawg."
